MANA BLAZES HOME WITH TOP HAIRDRESSING HONOURS
World renowned Kiwi hairdressing star Mana Dave has been crowned ‘New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year’ at the prestigious Hair Expo Australia 2008 over the weekend.
The award was given to Mana at a red carpet event last night in Sydney, attended by over 1500 guests, that marked the closing of the southern hemisphere's biggest hair trade weekend.
2008 is the fourth consecutive year that Mana has been selected as a finalist for this award, and his sentiment after the prize was handed to him summed up his commitment to winning it over nearly half a decade:
"This is truly a great moment for me - I have poured my heart and soul into this industry for years and although I have an amazing career that takes me all around the world, this award tops it all off!"
Mana is the Training and Development Coach for Redken New Zealand’s 15 strong artistic team and was recently inducted into Redken 5th Avenue NYC’s 2008 Global Collection Team, meaning he is summoned to all corners of the globe throughout this year to work alongside the world's best stylists.
The stunning new Blaze salon in Newmarket, Auckland is where Mana plies his trade right now as leader of a bright, young team who are dedicated to supporting his raw talent and learning everything they can from him.
