Deadly Ponies 'RED GIANT' Winter 2014

The stars have aligned to bring you Red Giant, Deadly Ponies’ latest collection for Winter 2014.

Inspired by American artist James Turrell's work and his clever manipulation of light, Creative Director Liam Bowden says that he wanted to create a collection that conjured images of an explosion of ideas and colour.

“Designing is an eruption of ideas and only when the dust settles does the true concept come to light. Red Giant is a reflection of that creative process,” says Bowden.

This season’s Mr Eclipse Scarf collection is a source of light in the face of winter’s obscurity. Vibrant spherical hoops of colour, evoke Turell’s astute light-play and are sure to brighten up even the bleakest of days.

Against a harmonious palette of Clay, Rust, and Concrete, sits Iodine, Deadly Ponies’ pick for the bold new colour of 2014. Alongside this, the introduction of a plush Angora fur adds a luxurious new texture that is distinctive and timeless.

Committed followers will appreciate the re-emergence of various Deadly Ponies design classics alongside the addition of some exciting new shapes. Mr Nebula Messenger with hallmark v-shaped bands of coloured fur, and Mr Mossat,a striking contrast, with its clean lines and structured form.

Staying true to Deadly Ponies’ uniquely paradoxical nature, Red Giant makes a bold statement whist maintaining the essence of subliminal cool.
