She was discovered living in cruel circumstances, rescued, and quickly rocketed to fame thanks to her wonderful looks, charming personality and inimitable sense of humour. She’s been a big fan of Karen Walker Eyewear for many seasons and is often seen rocking her KWs on the streets of New York and to her many fans in the virtual world.
Karen says, “We always love it when celebrities wear our glasses but it wasn’t until we first saw this season’s star that we thought there was a celebrity who could actually capture the essence of our brand in a campaign.”
The season’s star is, of course, Toast – the gorgeous King Charles Cavalier Spaniel whose 148,000 Instagram followers hang off her every musing and jaw-dropping outfit as she includes us in her daily ponderings and adventures.
Karen says, “We were after a model for this campaign who could fit with our caramel-ly colour palette and also someone whose hair would work with our three wind machines hitting her from every angle to create a slightly ‘70s vibe. Toast ticked every one of those boxes.”
For the summer 2015 collection that Toast models, Karen Walker Eyewear introduces five new styles – all fearless shapes with elevated detailing and strong yet dusty colours. Two-tone patch-working with gold trim is a core part of the range. The new collection also offers a fresh take on Karen Walker’s signature crazy-tort by splicing it against clear acetate to give a two-tone finish.
All product is double-polished and cured for longer than standard to ensure durability and strength. The best quality CR39 and glass lenses feature across the range as they provide the highest form of UV protection available as well as an extensive range of colours.
Every pair of Karen Walker Eyewear is manufactured to the highest standard and passes through 200 pairs of hands before it reaches its final home.
