Rachel Mills

Rachel Mills champions a slower way of consuming. In an effort to reduce her footprint and return value to what is consumed, all her garments are made locally. Fabric is sourced from a combination of deadstock and organic fabrics. Garments are made to wrap and tie around the body to transform the process of getting dressed into a ritual rather than a chore.

A talented Patternmaker (who has created patterns for some of NZ’s leading fashion designers), Rachel hosts patternmaking workshops for beginner and intermediate sewers in her Parnell studio. Opening ‘RM Studio’ to the public, she hopes that these skills bring value and longevity to the fashion we are consuming.
